AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Housing Loss Prevention Program
An emergency fund for displacement prevention to provide grants to those in immediate risk of eviction or foreclosure. The fund is a foreclosure and eviction bridge for low-income homeowners or renters that targets residents in the Mantua and Powelton neighborhoods.
Property Acquisition Grant/Loan Program
Keep value in the target neighborhoods and prevent displacement by purchasing or support the purchasing of available properties.
Healthy Housing Program
In partnership with Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia, this home repair grant program is for Mantua and Powelton Village residents facing displacement or unsafe living situations. The Mantua Powelton Alliance granted Habitat for Humanity $400,000 to provide anti-displacement and home stabilization repairs for existing low and moderate income homeowners in Mantua and Powelton Village. The grant will support the repair of 16 homes to ensure homes are structurally sound, warm, safe, and dry so that the home meets the needs for daily living: eating, bathing, and sleeping.
The program will begin in Spring 2023, running through June 2024. If you or someone you know would like your home to be considered for the repair program, please contact us at mpalliance2017@gmail.com.
